I'll make a call tomorrow to my guy at my favorite LFS. A few days ago I saw that he had a few different species of puffers but since it's not a fish I will be keeping I didn't make note of the species. He ships and I can vouch for him being a very "stand up" guy.

Gee thanks! I appreciate it. If I can't find them I will just get the Dwarf/Pea Puffers that one place carries here.

Aren't all puffers social like this among their own? I will most likely be going with Pea Puffers...since that's all I can find and I won't have to throw a crayfish.. jeeper

No alot of puffers are very very aggressive and will kill anything in their tank. My Fahaka hates anything in his tank. There is an Chinese Algea Eater and the only reason he is alive is he is faster then the puff

Well looks like you have an SOB on your hands...now doesn't it. See now thats why I when I started up aquariums this time I went invert..I have been through most of the common aggressive cichlids and I find it annoying to have a tank full of creatures trying to kill eachother all the time. To each his own I guess.

poor little Algae Eater..

the algea is fine for now. When I think he is truly in trouble Ill remove him. But yes alot of puffers dont do good with any other fish(freshwater atleast)
