Mr. Evil Piggy Pants is Sick :(
My GSP, Mr. Evil Piggy Pants, is sick. :(
His sides and tummy stay predominantly dark grey, occasionally lightening up once or twice a day.
He used to be a voracious eater of krill, bloodworms, clams, and brine shrimp, but now all he will eat are baby pond snails which are hard to come by in pet stores.
Piggy is about 3 inches long and I've had him for about 6 months.
He is kept in a 25 gal brackish tank with 2 aeration bubble stones. I've checked chlorine, ammonia, PH, nitrates and nitrites - all that jazz - and everything is normal.
I've done water changes, substrate vacuuming, changed up the tank decor, and added more plants, hoping he was just bored.
He doesn't appear to have any visible issues aside from the darkening.
He has a couple of tank mates: 2 ghost shrimp that he has decided to keep as friends instead of food, 2 decent sized snails that are too big to eat, and a little marble pleco to clean up algae (who is his buddy, oddly enough.) The tank mates have been around since he was little, and don't seem to have affected him before, so I don't think it has anything to do with them.
Does anyone have any advice for me and Piggy?
