desease?

hej everyone... I am totally new in having pufferfish. I have 2 and one of them has developed some kind of "lips" and stoped eating! i found some videos in youtube explaining how to trim their teeth, but those videos were not so clear and i couldnt see if it was my case.

another question...the other healthy one looks like a pig-nose ( the mouth ). Is it normal or does it have to be trimmed?

anyone can help me with these issues?

thanks!

How long have you had them? Are they Green Spotted Puffers? A picture would be helpful. If they aren't eating, than likely it's their teeth, but it could be something else. Can you tell a bit about your water parameters? Nitrates, etc. If you have any nitrites, your puffer will likely not eat.

It is waayyy better to feed live snails on a regular basis for prevention, than attempt your own dentistry, but if you've not done that, than you may need to look into that.

I would recommend joining and posting on The Puffer Forum. thepufferforum.com

I have a GSP, but don't want to plan on doing any of my own dentistry on him. Snails, and other hard shell food are good!
