i keep my 3 puffers with both anamo shrimp and a bristlenose in a 15g nano type(due for replacement with a 20g nano type the 15g is second hand and looks it) anamos make good tankmates as there a scavenger and larger than the more edible cherry shrimp, nerite snails make a good conpanion species

depending on the stores feeding policy puffers may take frozen food or will only eat live they can certainly be weaned onto frozen by offering it alongside live foods in a single feeding until they begin taking the frozen they have a good memory once they recognise something as food they will eat without hesitation i feed mine frozen bloodworn/whiteworm/midge larva/mysis and live water louse/daphnia/brine shrimp and small snails (brown ramshorn)

sexing is easy a male will have the visable "eye wrinkles" and sometimes a dark stripe down the belly 2 males will fight to the death in a small tank and both sexes should have 3g each(or 2.5 for a single fish)

as for ph dwarf puffers prefer a ph around 7-7.5 substate should be sand/javamoss or bare(easy cleaning)
