green spotted puffer!

Hello! Ive wanted a gsp for years, I live in montana, so its kinda hard to get them. The local aquarium shop does not carry them beacuse as you know they are too aggressive. So the only place that had them was the great satan Wallmart... no they where not my first stop I looked everywhere. So I looked at it this way, I saved a puffer from them.

My set up
33gal tank
360gal an hour back of the tank filter
crushed coral to help with ph

My worry is its been three days and I have not seen her eat. She is getting frozen blood worms. Any ideas?

They need brackish water. Also need some clams, snails, and shrimp instead of just bloodworms, bloodworms are good though, just not all the time.

I dont know a bunch on them.

forgot to mention that she is in brackish water, the snails are on the way but she is still not eating. Its like she is not seeing the worms as food.

Oh okay. I dont really know about them, so maybe they dont eat bloodworms. Try some krill or mysis.

I have three gsp :) you can buy frozen food from petland or other fish stores or pet stores. I would avoid the combo meals like "marine fish buffet" or whatever, Mine LOVE mussels and once i tried them on those they would eat little else, however mine do like blood worms and brine shrimp they LOVED krill when i first brought them home but that is because they had never had frozen food now they they have been spoiled with mussels they won't eat krill at all and hardly anything else.. I take that back.. fresh snails are their FAVORITE!!!! they could eat those all day if I would let them. but since they are still juveniles i find i have to smash the snail with a butter knife and then put shell and all in. they still get to nibble on the shell so that helps :) you might watch for signs of parasites or illness. Im not judging you for buying from walmart but because they don't really know anything about fish or fish health it might be possible that its sick. Hope this helped :) hope your puffer starts eating soon :)
