A tank mate question

I've been looking for some sort of bottom feeder for my GSP tank and the other day at PetCo one of the employees suggested a black fin shark. Apparently, like the GSP, they are brackish fish and are also fairly aggressive. I know that the black fin's get very large and I'll probably have to upgrade my tank to a larger size then planned. Before I go out and hunt down one of these little guys, what do you guys think about this?

The housing wont be an issue. I really don't mind dropping the money on a good aquarium, they tend to last forever. My family has a variety of pets so if there's not fish in an aquarium there's usually some sort of other critter in there, so it wont go unused that's for sure, haha.

Just to clarify, what I'm thinking about getting isn't actually a shark. It's actually a type of catfish, though they've been known to get up to 18".

I was more worried about water type and such, but it sounds like this guy would be a good fit. I'm a little worried that they almost get too big and might eat my puffers one day...

Not a Good Idea.
It will try eat your puffer if it can fit in its mouth.
Which would prob kill both fish.

Puffer is normally a stand alone fish :\ lots of water changes is the best way to keep the bottom clean

The bottom of the tank being dirty isn't really the issue, just a bonus. An employee at PetCo originally suggested it. After putting some feeder fish in there I don't think it's a good idea for the catfish's sake, one of my puffers is super territorial apparently(though he seems fine with the other puffer).
