-penguin 100 bio wheel filter
- instant ocean sea salt 3Lbs
-Hydrometer

-heater
-bubbler

For the 10 gallon tank you will probably be fine, but once you get the 55 gallon tank you will need a pump to create some kind of flow in your tank. I am running a 55 gallon with an Aqueon 700 pump and the flow seems pretty good. You also need to get some liquid testing materials; at least for PH (high range), Ammonia, Nitrites, and Nitrates.

As far as setup, I would slowly add the salt until you get to the desired salinity. Check with your LFS and see what those GSP's are being kept in right now. Try to match that and then every time you do a water change add .002 until you reach .015 or whatever your desired salinity is.

Unhappy

I just recently got a 10 gal tank as well. I am cycling the tank, and my first puffer is acting weird, he is flipping around and acting like he cant breath. I added the conditioner to the water and the salinity is at 1.010 and i dont know what else to do. the second one is acting fine!

so you have 2 puffers in a 10 gallon tank? If so there is your first problem, you should have close to 30 gallons per puffer. Unless they are dwarf puffers?

they are both babies and dont take up much space at all at the moment. One is a GSP and the other looks like it could be a Leopard Spotted Puffer? I'm not sure. His pattern is a little bit different than My Gsp's. But both are adorable none the less! :)
