Dwarf Puffers: anyone here kept them?

Just out of interest, has anybody here kept a dwarf puffer?

I think figure eight puffers are brackish, but dwarf puffers are freshwater.

I know that they grow to around an inch.

Kate, you're right. DPs are only freshwater.
Cute fish but their teeth can be scary.

I believe that they should be fed snails to keep their beaks/teeth from growing too much?

I have aquired another tank, and I'm looking into them. I have read that they can be kept in a ratio of 1 male to 2 females as long as plenty of hiding spaces are made available.

Yes. But you have to make sure the snails are in "wee" size or they won't be able to eat the snails well.
Cuttlefish will also be consumed. Most likely they'll start on the edges of that bone.
Trouble with overgrown beaks on DPs is that with a clip or nail cutter, you can't cut easily the beak from a small fish.

From what I've heard. they can be kept with ottos. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm also looking at figure 8 puffers, but I'm not too sure at the moment.

They can but the possibility of them nipping the otos is still there.
